Today is the seventh anniversary of my Episcopal Ordination. I was in St Mary's Church, Ugwunadagbe Aguleri for a Pastoral Visit and for a thanksgiving Mass on the anniversary of my episcopate. The Sacrament of Confirmation was conferred on over a hundred candidates. The was reception by the parishioners after Mass. They offered my an anniversary cake. Then I spent some time with the priests who came for the celebration.
          Formal lunch in my residence with some close friends. My good friend Jekwu provided the cake. I am profoundly grateful to him and  many others who brought me gifts.
          This special prayer of St Francis:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. 
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
