At 10.00am, in the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity Onitsha, I presided at the Mass for the Final Profession of eleven Sisters of the Immaculate Heart Congregation, Mother of Christ:  Maria Somkelechi Anike (Akpugo), Marie Claire Ojong (Ekok), Marie Francine Okeke (Ukpo), Francisca Maria Alexander (Alor), Maria Daniela Ngalamonwu (Umuoji), Maria Anna Rita Orameze (Ihiala), Maria Chinonyerem Aniesodo (Olo), Maureen Euphemia Omeje (Umuna), Maureen Francis Echibe (Awkuzu), Agnita Maria Aniegboka (Nando), and Mary Charity Therese Nnakwe (Umudora Anam). In prayer for them: O God, who willed that the grace of Baptism should flourish in these your servants, so that they might strive to follow more closely in the footsteps of your Son. Grant we pray, that, constantly seeking evangelical perfection, they may add to the holiness of your Church and increase her apostolic zeal.
