I was in Ikem Nando for Pastoral Visit to St Francis Parish. May God abundantly bless Fr Nonso Chidume and his parishioners for the progress I noticed significant progress in the work of evangelization. More people in the Church, interest in reaching out to the lukewarm Christians. But I am not happy with what I observe among the young people - some return to African Traditional Religion at critical moments of their lives. Well, we try to plant the seed but it is the Lord who makes the seed germinate and grow.
          I had the joy of meeting, anointing and praying for several sick persons who were brought to the Church to meet me. This meeting gave me the opportunity to talk about our care of the sick and the aged in our community. We must reach out to the weak in our community. I spoke about the correct use of oils in the Church. Our prayer during the offertory: May this sacred offering, O Lord, confer on us always the blessing of salvation, that what it celebrates in mystery it may accomplish in power.
