At 10.00am, I was at St Mary Church, Alor, for parish pastoral visit. I was accompanied by Fr Patrick Alumuku. In my homily: meaning of assumption, thanksgiving for the mothers (Ndi Nnne) concluding the annual meeting, symbolism of the lighted candles, meaning of the anointing with oil,  virtues of honesty, transparency and accountability when given public trust, and so on. Over a hundred and fifty persons received the Sacrament of Confirmation. After Mass, followed quick reception and lunch. Thanks to Fr Izuu Ifem to the excellent coordination of events. The Church was sparkling clean.
