At 10.00am, I was at St Peter's Umudioka AWKUZU for a Pastoral Visit. About sixty candidates received the Sacrament of Confirmation. I spoke about women empowerment and, since many university students form a good part of the Church community here, I also addressed the issue of poor choice of subjects that leads to the state of being unemployable after graduation.
         After Mass, I blessed the new rectory and the chapel inside it. Warm reception after. Fr  Marcel Chukwunonye, the parish priest, was an excellent coordinator. Thanks to Ogbuefi Tony Nnacheta and family for the initial support for the projects of the parish.  Different committees and individuals made efforts to make the day truly special.
